305: Sometimes I think I get a little high off of my love for Fringe and what the show provides in terms of twists and character development. Or perhaps Walter figured out how to transmit the effects of Brown Betty through the screen. Either way, I love it.

Fringe‘s move to Fridays, which takes hold on January 21, is looking more and more like a really terrific thing.

Not only has Fox been promoting the heck out of the time-slot change, but Fringe‘s new “under the radar” home apparently has opened the door for even freakier storytelling.

Noting that Fox “has always been pretty cool” about letting Fringe push the envelope, series creator J.J. Abrams tells TVLine that said envelope’s seams have achieved outrageous new levels of elasticity.

#3 Fringe (Season 2 & 3)

I spend a lot of time marvelling over the wonder of this series in an attempt to get more people watching it and the reason why I do this isn’t just because it needs stronger ratings to survive but because I truly believe people should be exposed to the magnificence of this show. 

The show has gone from typical monster of a week/occasional stand out episode in S1 to consistently brillant every single episode.  The central trio of Walter/Peter/Olivia is one of the strongest on TV but not only do we have this weird and wonderful ‘family’ unit but a string of fascinating supporting characters.

Fringe has become the show that networks have been desperately trying to find since Lost proved sci-fi character driven slightly odd drama can work. Heroes, Flash Forward, V, The Event they have all failed in achieving this, Fringe hasn’t but its like someone forgot to tell the world its out there. This never-ending quest to find the new Lost is over. Fringe is here, watch it

To anyone not watching Fringe, you really are missing out.
